Our cedar boxes are constructed from 1/4" red aromatic T&G cedar. Most all boxes have double thick lids to add strength and help prevent warping. Double height boxes with trays also are lined with this same material to provide additional strength with this double thickness. Some desire their boxes to be lightweight while others desire durability. We are flexible and always seek to provide the features that are most important to our individual customers. We use polished brass hardware for its long-lasting and durable traits. Brass draw catches provide a tight and positive latch. The quantity used depends on the size of the box. This is also true of the hinges.

Brass corners are placed on the four bottom corners for aesthetics as well as functionality as it helps protect these areas that usually take a lot of abuse. It is topped off with a brass handle that folds down out of the way so that the tray or other items can easily be placed on top.

Our standard single height boxes measure approximately 3.5 inches high (deep) X 23 inches long X 7 inches wide front to back. Inside dimensions are just 1/2 inch smaller except that the depth is 3/4 inch less because of the lined lid.

Our standard double height boxes measure approximately 7 inches high (deep) X 23 inches long X 7 inches wide front to back. Inside dimensions are just 3/4 inch smaller because of the lining inside the box. The tray is 1-2 inches high depending on space needs above and below the tray. The tray is usually felt covered to prevent rattling.
